Dear Mr. Lute,

I am writing to the Chrysler company because of my concern of the melting polar ice caps and how some of your cars are wasting gas. The amount of gas your cars use is a cause of global warming/ melting polar ice caps.  Ice cap numbers are decreasing. Since 1979, the size of the polar ice caps have decreased more than 20%. Since 1995 the ice shelves area has shrunk by 40 %. Your Jeep Wrangler is the car that pollutes the most out of your company.

The ramifications of this are decreases in polar bear, seal, walrus, and penguin populations. Around 25,000 polar bears are left in the wild. About 5.5 million different types of seals are left in the arctic. 220,000 walruses are left in the wild. About 200,000 emperor penguins are left in the wild.

Because of the gas that your cars contribute, the sea level has risen due to global warming. Since 1990 the sea level has risen 3.4 millimeters per year. If the sea level raises too high, all land will become water.
You should make a changes to the way that you make cars and make them more eco-friendly before the ice caps, polar bears, penguins, seals, and walruses are gone.

Sincerely,

Natalie
